@hayo my grand plan is to keep trying to foster a beneficial security community here for as long as people are interested. The number of active accounts is much less than the total number of accounts, and save for more X ridiculousness, we are unlikely to see much growth.

@jerry Given the kind of path Lord Musk has taken Twitter, it's not that surprising that Mastodon is picking up steam. Plus on a fresh install of the app, you are defaulted to register to mastodon.social rather than a decentralised server.

@jerry in probably completely unrelated news, I saw that the owner of the bird site plans to remove the ability for accounts to block other accounts because apparently he feels that feature “makes no sense” 😂
