@gabboman just as an fyi, your instance is poorly behaved.
My global timeline is getting posts from it even though nobody follows it, and I am getting a lot of things involving it stuck in my instance's job queue.
@gabboman That has no bearing on the fact that most instances generally do not unconditionally dump their public timeline to every other instance it knows about.
Most of them only send the public timelines of local users people on remote instances follow.
