I have a 102F fever which reminds me of something funny that happened years ago. I had a 105F fever from pneumonia (my 15 year battle with pneumonia is a story by itself) and was conscious but not all there. Or, less all there than usual. I didn’t know who I was or what I did for a living. My lovely wife convinced me that I was a car mechanic. And that’s why we’ve been together for 30 years.
@jerry My covid a couple weeks ago (which came to me directly from Europe, so perhaps a different strain) made me feel like I had a fever but my temp was solidly near 98 the whole time. In other news, I no longer trust my thermometer.
Anywho, if given the opportunity I highly recommend Paxlovid (perhaps with a side of Imodium). The two together meant all I had to deal with was the nasty metal flavor, which was much less awful than the covid itself (and could be covered up with Vernors).
@jerry :( oh man, that's awful. Our failed thankfully while we were on vacation and were able to have it repaired thanks to the miracle remote garage door opening from 5K miles away!
