As the title says, I got tired of hearing about twitter and reddit so provide this userscript a comma separated list of keywords and you will no longer see posts containing those keywords. I’d love to see this functionality built into Lemmy itself, but until then here’s a userscript....
After my post with the comment sorting script yesterday, I thought that since I was already doing script rewriting I might as well go further, so here is a script implementing infinite scrolling for the home page and communities on Lemmy....
Currently, Lemmy sorts the comments by Hot, and there is no way to change this. This scripts changes the default behavior to sort by Top, this default can be changed by editing the defaultSort variable in the code.
Just an FYI post for folks who are new or recently returning to Lemmy, I have updated the linked grease/tamper/violentmonkey script for Lemmvy v0.18....
I put this together based on another very similar script (attributed, of course) I found on beehaw that forces external links to open in a new tab. Should work on every Lemmy instance by checking the header. While it uses http*:/// as the match, it only executes any logic if the isLemmy check returns true....
I came across this one on userstyles.world and didn’t see it referenced here. It’s probably the most ‘old reddit’ looking of all of the one’s I’ve seen so far....
i personally sometimes found it a little hard to visually distinguish between comments in really long threads so i made this simple userstyle that remedies the problem for me by adding a semi-transparent background to comments....
similar to the kbin userscript I made this colorizes posts and comments by origin. kbin users/posts are dark blue, Beehaw (and any other restrictive moderation sites in the future) are red, local is left unchanged....
