Yet another philosophy department shut down, at Birkbeck, University of London. Don't even know what to say. Keep doing philosophy, out of spite. We've always had detractors. Remember Socrates?
@ninokadic@philosophy@academicchatter Sad. I say this as someone hailing from a STEM field... Philosophy is badly needed, and it will always be one of the courses that stuck with me most. Much more than that one course on automata theory (not that it wasn't interesting, but I digress).
