Hi, I have an AI backend ready to go, so I’m looking for an Android app that will be the implementation of the Android voice assistant and be able to convert my speech to text and send that text via HTTP request to a specific URL (my backend). Then read the response text, convert it to speech and say it....
I just found out about it. Open Source messaging. It seems intriguing although I’m not sure I would have much to do with it. I honestly can’t find too much information about it except for the website and a few YouTube videos. I was just curious if anyone has had experience with it.
As much as I’d rather use more private software for messaging, like matrix, there are still some groups I am only able to reach using discord. Does anyone know of any good frontends I can use to minimize the data hoovering?
So currently I use Grapher for plotting equations. I’ve used it for years and it works great, but it doesn’t seem to be open source. So I looked for a FOSS alternative, but didn’t find one on F-Droid or the rest of the internet. Do you know of a FOSS alternative? What do you use? Do you prefer web applications (like...
Curious if there’s any travel apps or sites I’m missing that will log your trips, manually or automatically, with the locations on a map along with your dates of visit. I was just hoping to keep track of my trips in a more comprehensive way, and being able to visualize them while also being able to search by timeframe or by...
with the recent news about the things that were said about Google slowing down Firefox on purpose, are they doing this because they severily dislike Firefox/open source? :c If so, that wouldn’t make a lot of sense!!! Because Google loves open source too. I read they were doing this to stop adblockers, and well if you use...
it would be good to know if they use it, I know it doesn’t indicate they are open source (which, most online stores aren’t), but if they use any open source library, or api, etc, do they credit them correctly? (for example using software licensed under BSD, etc). That can be a way of knowing if they are stealing other...

Hence the high degree of adaptability in lowland, hilly or mountainous areas, from villages to the busiest cities. Thanks to the intelligence of adaptation and survival, the Streptopelia...
I like to control the network bandwidth of each process/app on my linux, both ways (download, and upload), as well as my pc overall bandwidth. is that achievable on Linux ? Thanks
I have macbook air with M1 chip, I wish I could change to linux but unfortunately I cant so I try to stick as much as possible to using open source on macos. But i cant understand why FOSS apps take up so much space in memory. I’m even getting messages that says that I dont have space left in memory and i must close apps, and...
