When Omni-Man finally took turn to explain his motivations there was almost no substance to it.

That’s surprising to hear, it felt like a fully logical in-universe explanation for the whole thing to me (though I know a bit about the comic background, so maybe that helps).

In the end, a lot of it felt like because a few characters were far more powerful than all the others, little else mattered.

This was directly addressed in multiple ways. Characters didn’t just sit around because others were stronger.

Robot’s whole arc kinda puttered out without affecting anyone else, too.

Robots arc just hit a climax in the last episode. How did it putter out? I’m reasonably sure it will pick up where it left off in the next season.
