Just finding this sub, also a hexbear user since before it was called hexbear. I see a lot of screenshots of comments from our site where it’s left as an exercise for the reader to fill in some blanks with “and then they were bad” or something, I don’t know. I’m genuinely confused how most of these could be seen as objectionable when they’re either the most obvious of jokes (and not some schrodinger’s asshole kind of jokes, where you decide if it’s a joke based on whether you get called out or not. I’m taking about actual unambiguous jokes) or are just saying a totally different thing than the title says they’re saying. Why, if you think we’re so awful, would every single post leave so much up to the reader to interpret uncharitably? Surely, once in a while we would slip up and say “the quiet part out loud” wouldn’t we? You’ll find that right-wingers, fascists, nazis, etc can’t keep the mask on so long, so why are we so “good” at hiding our malicious intentions? It’s because we aren’t hiding anything.
