I no longer accept “any information you can find on X family in your area” as a #genealogy research request. If a caller or guest can’t give me specific information they are looking for, such as the parents of so-and-so or where whozit is buried, AND an approximate date range, I’m not going digging. Total waste of a few hours, and they will just say “oh, I know all THAT” when I’m finished. @librarians
