I really think the only thing that’s missing right now in Lemmy is more gif and video content easily accessible from the feeds. I want to contribute this content, but it seems to me like the only way to do this is by sharing links to external services like YouTube, TikTok, or imgur. Is this correct? Or is there a way to upload...

Linking communities in Lemmy across the Federation seems to be very straightforward: I can make !programming for example, and everyone across the fediverse will be able to meet me at that community....

I stood up my own instance, and it’s federating (kind of?) but none of the posts are showing up with their comments. If I look on the main instance I can see the comments but not on mine....

I have this weird issue with federating....

Some instances disable downvoting. Is this intended to be for communities on that instance or users on that instance, or both?...

In reddit I’ve liked the enable/disable inbox replies option when it came to comments or threads that I posted if I decided I didn’t want to see anymore notifications from every reply.

Has anyone found a lemmy app that lets you filter posts containing keywords yet? I have tried jabroa and liftoff and neither have it. I don’t wanna have to make one myself

When I go to a community page (not signed in) I see thousands of subscribers, but when I access the community from within my account, I am shown dramatically less subscribers. I am a new convert from Reddit and don’t understand what is going on....

Comments won’t post randomly, I try to upload images and some work and others don’t, then when I try to repost none will upload at all (I’ve resized my images too). I’m unable to see the lists of posts I’ve made on desktop, mobile, and any of the mobile clients I’ve used. This goes for my accounts on both sh.itjust.works and Lemmy.world. I like seeing how my posts are doing or going back to read comments on there even if they’ve been marked as read. Could it be that it’s not...
