Hi, I run the Lemmy instance over at compuverse.ukI seem to be getting spammed with literally thousands of incoming activity requests (primarily coming in from lemmy.world and lemmy.ml). (I measured about 1 new request ever 0.01 -> 0.02 seconds)...
I was trying to work out why it is that when I receive a notification and I click “view context” nothing happens if the msg came from lemmy.world. The screen blinks for a second but gives no prior posts. Well after digging into this, I see that #lemmyWorld has just recently joined the exclusive #walledGarden of Cloudflare....
I’m getting rate_limit_error on the API when posting posts with just title+url. What is the default rate limit for posts? Do all requests have a rate limit or only posts?...
If you look next to the user’s name in a comment when viewing through the Lemmy Web UI you’ll see the following: https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/c72c392a-3a29-4d80-a693-ed9a5cda0053.pngWhat is this?
Can you see if a moderator has removed comments from a thread? Can you see the content of the removed comments? Are moderators able to specify motive for the specific removal?
On Reddit, one frequently runs into posts that are archived, and thus the user cannot interract with them anymore – motive is stated here. I’m curious if Lemmy would ever do the same.
Are we able to post videos or images in the comments? I know that you can post a video in the post such as a sign language video, but are people able to respond with a video comment in sign language?...
Has anyone found a lemmy app that lets you filter posts containing keywords yet? I have tried jabroa and liftoff and neither have it. I don’t wanna have to make one myself
Odd ask, I know, but is there a way to make a “multi-community” view? To give you a specific example, I am looking at Steam Deck communities and there are two pretty active communities on two different instances. Is there a way to create a view that shows me posts from both (but not just generally merging all my subscribed...
When I click show context on a reply, I’d like to see the comment that they replied to, so I can remember what the fuck I was saying, but nothing happens, the page just refreshes. Is this a new bug? Maybe related to OP’s?
I juste created an account here (on lemmy.ml). Trying to add the communities I want. Search for guild wars 2. Found an empty community here that only say to use the one on lemmy.wtf. OK. Works for me. Found it at : lemmy.ml/c/[email protected] . But there is only 2 post that are months old. Clicking on the grey name on the...
I have setup the Lemmy backend but I can’t see the backend running just only json is displaying. Lemmy ui is also setup properly but with very limited features. See the attached screenshot of the backend. I run “cargo run” command to start the Lemmy Backend...
When I go to a community page (not signed in) I see thousands of subscribers, but when I access the community from within my account, I am shown dramatically less subscribers. I am a new convert from Reddit and don’t understand what is going on....
Comments won’t post randomly, I try to upload images and some work and others don’t, then when I try to repost none will upload at all (I’ve resized my images too). Currently, trying to load this community, it will not show any posts but I can see them on my feed. Am I doing something wrong? I feel like it’s been this...
