Every major social media is censoring anti-israel or pro-Palestine content. This may be a good opportunity to convince Arabs to move over to lemmy, where only we control the content moderation....
I know not all instances require it. I know not all instances take too long....
I speak my mind here and sometimes it causes some friction. Having been banned a few times for various dumb reasons what really annoys me is there’s no notice of it, and many will just hide behind a generic “mod” label for banning and deleting. Is there a reason there’s no attribution required for these actions?

We are happy to see that many of you are exploring Lemmy after Reddit announced changes to its API policy. I maintain this project alongside @dessalines....
I think we need to add a couple more barriers to prevent spam. What about limiting posting to X amount of posts, or for new users or something?
I swear I made a post to a community and lemmy automatically detected that it had the same URL link as another post in another community made by someone else and listed this post as a cross post....
I’ve updated the bot and added the possibility of translating hardcoded links (like this one: lemmy.world/post/2355178 or this one: lemmy.world/comment/1863672) to posts/comments with links from your instance when you mention him. I’ll show an example in comments.

I’ve received more positive interactions in the last month here on Lemmy and I ever did in my 12 years on Reddit. On Reddit I am generally too anxious to post shit or engage in any way which led me to live that lurk life. I’m sure more toxicity will come as the user base continues to grow but, for now, this place is pretty...
tl;dr: With Lemmy Go you type lg beekeeping on the address bar and it takes you to the most popular beekeeping community, or you can pick one from the given suggestions....
I think for a while leading up to the recent session stealing hack, there has been a massive amount of positivity from Lemmy users around all kinds of new Lemmy apps, frontends, and tools that have been popping up lately....
Any future plans on developing lemmy video upload support?
The line-height might have to be increased a little bit in the post listing as we can see in the screenshot that lines are currently slightly overlapping? It seems to be fine in the comments however....
Memmy is an early fave (posting from it now) but it reminds me so much of the Dec-Feb app development days for Mastodon. So many fun options to try out!
There is a big difference between mild NSFW and full on porno. Suppose there is a News story with photo/video but it’s a little bit graphic or violent. Nobody is jacking off to that. Maybe shouldn’t view it at work, but in the library is fine....
Today, a bunch of new instances appeared in the top of the user count list. It appears that these instances are all being bombarded by bot sign-ups....
I think there’s a bug somewhere :)...
