SinningStromgald, in What incremental game are you playing right now and how’s it going?

Unnamed Space Idle - Good so far just have to buck up and do the missions so I can progress.

Arcanum/Theory of Magic - Awesome game with lots of depth. Grinding levels and time right now.

Melvor - A humongous game that is getting bigger soon. Tons of QOL and gameplay mods that are easily installable.

Really Grass Cutting Incremental - I’m cutting grass in space. Horrible UI and color scheme on a good game. And think that’s the point? Maybe?..

Incremental Mass Rewritten - Just started on a whim yestery and seems good so far. Quickly becomes a set and forget game.

Orb of Creation! Not that idle-friendly, but it’s a great game!

Cleansed - A fun short satisfying ASCII art game. A good base for someone to build on, if they feel so inclined, and add greater depth with more prestige layers and upgrades.

Shark Game: New Frontiers - Prestige sharks and other marine wildlife through various worlds with various positive and negative effects that change game play in various ways. The goal is to complete each faster and faster to get more essence to get more upgrades to complete worlds faster. etc etc etc. Good game with enough depth to entertain you for as long as a world, or two or three, takes to complete then put down till you feel the desire to complete more.

Connect the Pipes - Not exactly an incremental game but more a puzzle game where you choose how complicated a puzzle you want to solve. The goal of each puzzle is to get water flowing to all the bulb ends with no infinite loops of water. Grid sizes from 2x2 to 99x99 with a variety of tile shapes/patterns to keep the game fresh and challenging.

Very late to the party, but I just wanted to float another idea: While the community is still as small as it is, maybe the community can just sort of govern ourselves for the time being.

As long as we’re sure to be active with the upvotes and downvotes, that should paint a general shape of what the community wants to look like, and then we can sorta take it from there?

Very rarely does an opportunity come along to start from the ground up!

First one that came to mind was Tap Wizard 2 mostly automated combat, i think auto play needs to be unlocked iirc its pretty early in the game

SinningStromgald, in New Melvor Idle expansion will release on September 7th

More content for an already MASSIVE game? Wow…just wow.

SinningStromgald, in Melvor

I just started Melvor and this game is MASSIVE $14 for this much game is nearly criminal. No idea what I’m doing but I am doing stuff.

Hahaha. Yeah, that’s basically how I feel! Just as I think I’m rounding the end of one thing, I find a whole new section I’ve neglected.

an unnamed shark game in the browser with very cute art. I linked the original. People are working on a remaster and a mod here.

Elevator7009, in Melvor

Kept trying it and bouncing off for some reason. Not sure why.

Yeah, I think I started and quit two or three times, but once it stuck I’ve been enjoying it.

  • Unnamed Space Idle : Just a great all around idle game that is constantly adding more content and bug fixes.
  • Dodeca Dragons : Recently got an update that opened up the next layer after holy octahedron so lots of new content to play through.
  • Clickpocalypse 2 : Truly idle game that requires a bare minimum of actual clicking or babysitting. You can certainly beat the game fairly quickly but if you are an achievement hunter or completionist then the game will take you thousands of hours.
  • Theory of Magic/Arcanum : The amount of character choices and the prestige layer that opens up eventually means the replay value of this game is…MASSIVE. It does require more active clicking at the beginning so it does require a time investment to get going.
  • Cell Idle Factory Incremental : Android game that is probably one of the most polished incremental/idle games around that will absolutely take you thousands of hours to even get close to completing what is currently there. BUT it does have the option to spend money to make some things easier or to avoid ads. The cost is a few US dollars but if you hate ads or even seeing the option to spend money then skip it.

fsk, in Self hosted games?

Most incremental games are html that just runs in a browser. Only the ones that have multiplayer would have some sort of server code, and the developers usually don’t publish that.
