Brotato: An action roguelike game made with Godot!

This is a game I have seen recently gaining traction in various internet spaces. My fiancee picked it up a few days ago and he has been loving it. I decided to give it a go for myself yesterday. Upon launching I saw the familiar Godot robot logo… and it made me think about this community here on programming.dev :)

Doing a bit of reading, it seems this is the first game this develeoper has made in Godot.

The game only costs £3.99 though it’s currently 20% off with the Steam summer sale and is currently going for £3.19.

Has anyone else tried this game? Have you enjoyed it? I know I had a lot of fun playing it yesterday!

For a more programming focused conversation topic, how easy would it be to develop this kind of game in Godot? I did a bit of game development myself back in university but haven’t done any since. I am still curious about the experience of developing games outside of an educational setting, though.
