I wonder why I haven’t seen any communities so far that link to related communities in the sidebar....

I have a meme account on Instagram, which I’d like to also have on the Fediverse. Can anyone recommend me a Pixelfed instance for this? Or maybe another type of server?

Hi everyone, I have some technical questions regarding federation. Answers backed by documentation would be perfect....

Title. I remember community flairs from the red betrayer and they where immensely useful to me to determine info about others configurations etc. are they something lemmy has discussed adding? If not why?

I want to know how to use the Antenna feature of Firefish to customize my feed and see more relevant content based on the topics I like, how to follow lemmy communities, how to post on lemmy and vote posts/comments on lemmy from there. Is there a documentation where I can learn about that?

I would like to be able to choose how much I want to see of the topics I like. What platform offers something similar to Bluesky customizable feeds but in the fediverse?

By fediverse first, I mean that the app/site/platform was built from the start to be federated instead of being like corporate site but FOSS & federated....

I know there is mobilzon but mobilzon is a meetup.com clone whereas evite is different....

I still have many different accounts on matrix, lemmy, mastodon, etc. and although you may communicate somehow, it doesn’t work properly.

I cant find much information about it. Is it possible to create an instance which will be part of a server, like lemmy.ml. Or do I have to run a server to be able to create a sub inside lemmy.ml(or any other). Thanks

While working on Fedimojis, I’d like to check that the link entered by the user is actually a Mastodon server, to avoid bugs or loading thousands of emojis from Pixelfed instances that don’t distinguish between local and external emojis....

I haven’t been able to subscribe to any communities hosted on kbin instances. I can see the communities, but they stay at “subscribe pending” and the posts never show up....

As I understand it, the main fediverse softwares all implement ActivityPub in a little bit different way, and so don’t fully overlap with one another in terms of how well you can see content from one on another and in what ways you can interact with it. Lemmit online is a lemmy instance that mirrors content from some subs from reddit. It seems to be federated and not blocked but when you subscribe to any of its community, you don’t get any new posts in your feed. Any clue about why?
