Russia’s Big Data Association refuses to back regulation bill that would give law enforcement access to personal user data on corporate servers

The amendments would give state security agencies direct access to major corporate information systems and their data, including the right to manipulate corporate data sets remotely, by editing and deleting certain types of records.

Oh, so basically PRISM? I’m surprised Russia is so far behind given that the US had this literally a decade ago.
