My cat is incapable of pooping covertly, she loudly “digs” everything around the litter tray.

Facelikeapotato, Maybe it was on a side table and she had to move it to clean. I’ve definitely had to move furniture to clean up cat puke.
ExtraMedicated, (edited ) Throwing up under the furniture also works.
