I haven't read Rowling, only seen the first two movies. It is true that she has borrowed a lot, though, which is perfectly fine as far as I am concerned. (Who doesn't?)
However, it used to annoy me that many people seemed to believe that Rowling was the first person in history to write stories such as Harry Potter.
