But also: don't be afraid to boost your own posts, especially if you're promoting your work. One trade-off of having no algorithm is posts are much more transient, very easy to miss - boosting your own stuff brings it back into timelines. People often boost for different times of day / timezones or on a weekend or whatever - within reason!
