Of all Terry Pratchett's works, I think Monstrous Regiment is his finest. As well as the feminist and anti war themes, it is one of the most intelligently funny books I have ever read. Everyone needs their "socks"!

@geomannie @zkrisher @bookstodon It’s been a huge influence on my daughter, who has an extremely battered copy and has lost track of how many times she’s read it. I think she could quote most of it from memory.
