I'm about to finish The Book that Wouldn't Burn, by Mark Lawrence, and I'm a third of the way through a re-listen to Pawn in Frankincense, kind of the middle of Dorothy Dunnett's Lymond Chronicles (a strong candidate for Best Series Ever).
