Ah, Kazuo Ishiguro is an interesting writer, although I don't think his books qualify as "easy reading". Narration is a huge factor in so I'll check for this one.
The Salt Path, a memoir about a couple walking the UK Coastal Trail, narrated by the wife. Very well-written and the narration is excellent, northern UK dialect.
