Pixel owners: Do you think Pixel 8 (non-pro) will get on-device AI models?

At the end of yesterday’s keynote, when Google spoke about on-device AI models, such as text to speech, etc, they said the “Pixel 8 Pro was designed to…” and left out the Pixel 8.

Since both devices are T3, I would assume they are both technically capable. Based on previous Pixel devices, do you think those features will make their way down to the non-pro model?

Reason for request: I’ve pre-ordered an 8 due to the size of the 8 Pro, but worried I’ll be missing out on features that I actually find impressive (and are at least somewhat more privacy focused).

I’ve seen that thought in one comment but to me it seems like a misunderstanding. Google doesn’t list differences on the software and AI features with the device comparisons

Edit: on the camera side, the video boost feature is listed only for the pro

fmstrat OP ,

The fact that video boost is limited makes me think it was a purposeful statement for the rest. Those features were held until the end of the keynote, and not mentioned during the other feature descriptions. Hopefully some clarity arrives before ship date.
