I’m using StopTheMadness which blocks YT ads and adds native apple media controls to the video players. It’s also got a bunch of other quality of life improvements for web browsing like hiding those annoying banners asking if you want to use the app. The features list is extensive, so check the app store to see if it’s worth the premium. The developer is attentive and has been improving the app a couple times a month since I got it, so it’s been well worth the price for me.
