Another Samsung Galaxy S23 FE leak details the phone's diverse chipsets in different markets

  • New Geekbench listings indicate that the Galaxy S23 FE will draw its power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the U.S. and an Exynos 2200 chipset in other markets.
  • Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC was previously criticized for poor energy efficiency compared to its Snapdragon counterpart, but the company may have addressed this concern.
  • The phone is expected to make its debut in the third quarter of this year as a cheaper version of Samsung’s latest flagship series.
Saturnlks,

The only spec I care about is knowing if it supports micro SD cards

Sir_Simon_Spamalot,

As well as audio jack

aluminium,

There are no bad products, just bad prices. If the exynos is 500€ or less I see no reason the be mad.

Unpopular4810,

If they are not bad enough, why do they not realease the exynos variants in the US?

Because they would have to pay Qualcomm a royalty per phone sold, due to a lawsuit from the 90s

They shipped the galaxy S6 with exynos in the US in spite of the royalty, because the loss from the fees was outweighed by having a more reliable, efficient and cooler chip (oh how times have changed)

Unpopular4810,

I hate Samsung for doing this. I have a S21 FE Exynos in my house, the battery will not make it through the end of the day. The phone is always low on battery. The standby battery drain overnight is also noticable. To add burn to the injury, they are releasing the Snapdragon variant of the S21 FE now in my country, 18 months after the exynos variant was launched.

Why does Samsung keep doing this? Why do non US markets keep getting the shittier exynos models? We are the testing sheep for the Exynos chips while US gets the better stable models at also at a lower price. They SD phones are simply better in battery, OS stablility and Camera quality.
