It's interesting to see how O'Brien and Bashir were more acquaintances rather than friends at this early stage of the show. Their friendship would evolve and develop later.
@petertrek1@allstartrek They weren't just audiences, O'Brien really didn't like him and Bashir was kinda pushy and overly boisterous. I can see why Garak developed such a huge crush on him.
Yes, that's true. A credit to the writers as well as Colm Meaney and Alexander Siddig who created two memorable characters and their strong friendship.
