(watching DS9's "The Storyteller")

It's interesting to see how O'Brien and Bashir were more acquaintances rather than friends at this early stage of the show. Their friendship would evolve and develop later.

@petertrek1 @allstartrek They weren't just audiences, O'Brien really didn't like him and Bashir was kinda pushy and overly boisterous. I can see why Garak developed such a huge crush on him.

I recall early Season 1 Bashir wasn't very "likeable" (e.g. he was too interested and pushy with Dax)

👍 One of the great arcs, very positive, funny and entertaining. Enabled by a long series with continuing plots across many seasons.

Yes, that's true. A credit to the writers as well as Colm Meaney and Alexander Siddig who created two memorable characters and their strong friendship.
