Mechanically, it's just a 3m round helium balloon with hundreds of pieces of charcoal sticking out of it. It seems to have a mind of its own, drawing complex patterns on the walls until every spot the ball can reach is covered in charcoal. In this video from the Muffathalle club in Munich, some visitors try to tame this beast, but they just end up getting scribbled on too. Even though it floats in the air, it still weighs 4kg, so it could knock you down.
