Very conflicted feelings about this tbh. I dont think it looks bad per se but its definitely underwhelming. You would hope Season 1 would be a bit more ambitious to showcase their vision for seasons but alas.
I'm not super feeling it either. Not horrible looking, but I expected a lot more. I know people get angry with the POE comps and Diablo, but this would be a pretty weak POE league and I was expecting something a lot more in line with the more ambitious POE offerings for the first season.
Don't want to be doomer and I already had a great time/got value out of the game, but there's a lot D4 needs for me to continue to have a great time with it and this didn't really move the needle. I'll probably check it out and see if there's any cool builds to play with the hearts, but I'm not overly excited about what has been shown. Hopefully the boss is cool.
I guess all of the responses are only on the subreddit. But that does look like a useful add on. If only they’d let us a version of our character on the season realm.
Traditionally ARPGs dont work like that because seasons are supposed to reset the economy. Given that theres no trading in this game there really isnt any reason to bifurcate the seasonal and non-seasonal characters to be honest
Just finished the main story and was admittedly a bit shocked about Neyrelle leaving her friends and going on by herself with the soulstone. It left me with a lot of questions and I am really curious about what this is all about and what her plans are. Nice to get a bit more information though, but in the end I hope that we don't have to fight Neyrelle in any later story updates.
They said gem bag would be after Season 1. I'm hopeful you don't have to redo the map and Altars of Lilith for every new character because that's a pain in the ass
They already confirmed the altars and I think map too.
Good to know about gem tab, I have no idea what other QoL changes they could make. Maybe give us an API so we can more reliably track events? Change world bosses respawn timer so you don’t see them like once every two weeks as a casual.
I hope for refund all button in paragon board, better searching for nodes(text in addition to keywords) and build slots so I can checkout other build without scrapping my current one
Significantly increased the experience awarded for completing Nightmare Dungeons.
Significantly increased the experience gained from killing monsters in Nightmare Dungeons.
Players can now teleport to their Nightmare Dungeon directly through the map.
I’m still pretty new (lots of stuff went down IRL), but I’ve been rolling with a bone spear nec. Prioritizing skills that cause vulnerability and empower minions. It has been a grand time.
Happy to see confirmation that these items can in fact drop and its not bugged lol. However the drop rates are waaaaay too low for a game with no trading. I foresee them getting bumped in the season 1 patch
Jesus christ what are they thinking? They nerfed the damage AND defense across the board, they nerfed CC immunity, amount of aspects that gets added is laughable, some malignant hearts are trash, but all of them take jewelery slot(imo they should've added slot to jewelery to accomodate this). Add to that the reports people make that world tiers are level locked and you cannot unlock them even if you do capstone dung under leveled.
ON TOP OF THAT they did not implement any QoL changes. Even something as simple as "refund all" for paragon board so we can try different builds easier. I don't even care about gold cost of these.
I originally played druid, got him to 82, tried both storm wolf and pulv bear builds. I wanted to try sorc if they buffed him a bit in the season, if not then Necro. Now? Now I'm not sure if I'm gonna play this season. Maybe a bit until BG3 comes out because I have nothing to play, but even that is uncertain
There are a couple of good changes like mobs running away less and nightmare dungeon loot but most of the other stuff doesn't look good.
Helltide chest change is very disappointing
