Man, the ability to individually block any and all traffic from whole lemmy instances can’t come soon enough. The fewer authoritarian regime apologists oozing out of the cesspool of lemmygrad I have to yet manually block the better.
There’s catt which can be installed in termux on Android or directly on your PC easily enough. AFAIK there’s also a few (T)UIs for it out there. I personally have set up a bash script in termux as a share target and send the links from the revanced app to catt for casting. But yeah, it’s definitely more work and needs more expertise setting it up than hitting the cast button in the app, fully agreed.
Keep all the config files of your tools in subdirectories of a git versioned directory and symlink them into their target location (e.g. with GNU stow). If installation of a tool is involved and you expect to have to revisit it, put the steps into an installation bash script and version it as well.
I’ll start watching sports when there’s coked up cyborgs competing for who can stave off graft rejection for long enough to cross the finish line, thank you very much
Up until recently, Lemmy had a hard coded (like, a regex compiled into the fucking Rust binary) slur filter which would perform such marvels of content policing like turning Stardew Valley into Sremoved Valley. So what do you think?
