@darth_hideout@plasmagold@rm4 that is one of the funniest oversights for me: Sure, probably only Obi-Wan, Yoda and Bail(?), knew whose children Luke and Leia had been. Even naming Luke “Skywalker” may have not been a problem on Tatooine, where he may have gotten the name from Shmi, I stead of Anakin … but as soon as he becomes a famous Rebel the connection to the famous Jedi should have come up once or twice 😂
For all I like #Ahsoka I do worry a little that it's by far the most intra-referential show yet for nu-#StarWars. Like to get the most from it you need to have seen TCW, Rebels, Mando + played at least Fallen Order, + read Zahn's books and I wonder how sustainable a model that is
@euphoriagremlin Filoni has always referenced a lot of adjacent material, I for one am here to get some resolutions for his setups (Mortis gods, World between Worlds, galaxy hopping, Rakata and Kotor references). But I can see a Marvel-ification stemming from this trend, which would seriously hurt Star Wars in the long run.
