Mine appears to be a ternary life, beginning with a short study of music composition followed by a long middle section driven by Life's strong suggestions. The strength of those suggestions faded (or got bored with me), leading to a return to composing as one of "[l]es imitateurs des classiques [who], dans leurs plus beaux moments, ne nous procurent qu'un plaisir d'erudition et de gout qui n'a pas grande valeur."
