I’ve done this as a project to go from 3G to LTE for a network of a few hundred devices.
3G and LTE (4G) used almost identical AT commands. The motherboards were build so the modems were swappable. It wasn’t too bad. I’m told the field techs had to drive 5 hours across the Australian outback to access some of them.
A 1TB SD card costs the same as a single vinyl LP right now.
It’s not even a concern.
However, I have a box of CDs that I ripped to 96kbps Vorbis in the early 2000s, and I think this time I’ll go straight to FLAC. Plex will transcode to the flavour-of-the-month codec on the fly when listening with limited bandwidth.
Conservatives here are the worst at picking and choosing. They’ll happily borrow America’s racism, anti-socialism, hypercapitalism, nationalism, mysoginy, gun culture and mass surveillance… but holy crap do they make noise when you put a pumpkin on your front lawn in October.
