Day trip to Takasaki (Part 2)

Yesterday, we went to Takasaki, the largest city in Gunma Prefecture. Here is a set of unprocessed, out-of-camera photos from our second stop, the Takasaki Byakue Daikannon. This Kannon statue was built in 1936, and is 41.8m tall.

Day trip to Takasaki (Part 1)

Today, we went to Takasaki, the largest city in Gunma Prefecture. Here is a set of unprocessed, out-of-camera photos from our first stop, Shōrinzan Darumaji. It is here at this temple, several hundred years ago, that the first Daruma dolls were made.

Kyōdō is a neighborhood in the center of the western Setagaya ward of Tokyo. It’s also an express stop on the Odakyu Line, reachable from Shinjuku within 15 minutes. Here is a set of some photos from the area.

Takinogawa, Part 2

Takinogawa is a district in Kita ward (starting outside JR Itabashi Station, to the east of the JR Saikyō Line tracks) that has retained a distinct Old-Tokyo feel. A very interesting area to walk around in. This is the second set of street photos from this neighborhood.
