Spent the day doing knitting chores- washed and blocked a finished cowl that has been hanging around; washed and reblocked a shawl with a fussy edging that requires blocking wires; made minor repairs on 4 shawls then washed them; mended two pairs of hand knit socks with a total of 3 knit patches; pulled out a few rows on the thumb of a mitt that the bind off broke on and got it set up to fix; found the leftover yarn for another pair of socks that need mending. @knitting
I have had this in my knitting queue for a while. The pattern is Flyway Twist by Veera Välimäki. The yarns are Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool in the fibre space exclusive colorway Royal Mile and De Rerum Natura Ulysse in Figue. Yarn/pattern combo was inspired by a shop sample. This was knit as written on size US7 (4.5 mm) needles. @knitting
I made this thing out of a piece of string I had lying around. Pattern is Anthemion by Miriam Felton, available on @knittymag. Yarn is Neighborhood Fiber Company Maisonette (50% silk, 50% merino) in the Sandtown Winchester colorway. I knit it on US 3 (3.25mm) needles. Between the swatch and the wrap, I had just under 3 grams of yarn left. The wrap measures approximately 17 inches wide by 87 long. I knit the pattern as written but with 50 repeats of chart E. @knitting
