Let me me to introduce: My backup laptop (ThinkPad X230) . I bought it used on Ebay for 170 € many years ago and upgraded it with an SSD. The idea was to have a laptop in case I break my Dell XPS.
In fact, I used it once.
Otherwise, it just sits in the closet and gets pulled out once a year to serve as a music player at a barbecue. If someone spills their beer on it, it's not so bad.
