Is there such a thing as a portable instance pf Obsidian? One that I can put on a USB-stick and use on my Windows work computer?

I’m experiencing a very erratic scrolling behaviour on @obsidian their iPad version. There is nothing wrong with my trackpad.

It was not smooth before, yet now it’s plainly irritating. See the video.

Is it something to do with me? My theme? My settings? Do you experience the same?

@geffrey @obsidian @obsidianmd Try disabling your plugins. And also, try going into airplane mode temporarily. You might have something operating in the background of Obsidian which is taking CPU time away from it. If you are jailbroken you might like to install and then check CocoaTop to see if anything’s going on.

I have published my initial ideas for the PlainText Journaling Markup Language.

Inspired by Huang's never-ending, productivity journal .txt file and influenced by Tony Stubblebine's concept of "interstitial journaling," the PlainText Journaling Markup Language is designed to simplify the experience of plain text journaling.

The journal.py has some functionality. Most importantly: move all open tasks to bottom of journal.

Let me know what you think.

@EpiphanicSynchronicity @obsidianmd This is great! I’ll be using a version of this on my work laptop! Adding Expanso shortcuts to the repository 😄

Any other text expanders I should consider?

@geffrey @obsidianmd I love , but it doesn’t work on mobile, so on my iPhone I use Apple’s built-in version (General > Keyboard > Text Replacement), which isn’t as good (I don’t think it can insert the current date or time, for example).

I believe there’s an expander plugin for , but I haven’t tried it.

Iirc, Text Expander works on iOS, but you have to use their soft keyboard, and it's an absurdly expensive subscription.
