This violin was just brought to New Zealand and is about to be restored - so I thought I'd do this 'before' photo, and you can all check back in in about a year's time once it's been through the hands of Le Violon Rouge luthiers!

Dinu Lipatti is an epitome of excellent pianism.
I love a lot of interpreters, but it‘s often Lipatti‘s or Richter‘s version that defines the yardstick for me.
@Orchestergraben@classicalmusic@classicalpiano@classicalmusicgroup Anton Reicha ist in der Öffentlichkeit nicht besonders bekannt, aber geschichtlich ein enorm wichtiger und hörenswerter Wegbereiter zwischen der Klassik und der Romantik in Frankreich. Bei ihm ist der Weg zu Chausson und Ravel (und wie ich meine auch zu Messiaen) bereits zu erahnen.
