I saw someone on twix whining about the EU improving the iPhone,

with some insane hypothetical iphone with a punchcard and floppy reader, and I just couldn't help but think "yea this is an apple device I would actually buy, unlike literally any other iphone"

The image they posted, showing a big brick sized iphone with a lot of connectors of all types, slots for CDs, floppies and punchcards, and a battery hatch
People ratio-ing the original poster with comments like "bro they just said change the port" and "you say this as if it wouldn't be the best iphone ever"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know: "The EU only wants the USB-C support on the iphone and sideloading on the iphone"

It's also funny how people never complain when Google has to adjust Android to meet EU guidelines, but when it's about Apple, shills crawl out from under every rock on the planet.

@Serpkah yea, I'll never judge what someone likes, but it's always good to have a healthy balanced opinion on what you associate with, otherwise it quickly turns into zealotry.. And there's a lot of apple zealots unfortunately. Doesn't mean they all are of course! It only takes a few loud ones heh

@TempestDerg that should be active, I don't know if they regressed on it, but in the past they had this thing for a while where you could select a browser after your first boot and it would set that as the default one, though I wouldn't be surprised if that application died since then

I can't describe the amount of rage I have for people that willfully decide to use Discord as documentation host.

Let's list the problems:

  1. You need a discord account
  2. You depend on discord to stay up
  3. Discord's search function is the only thing known to man to be MORE useless than screaming into the void
  4. CHAT services are not DOCUMENTATION and NEVER WILL BE
  5. HOW DO YOU EVEN FIT A WIKI PAGE INTO A MESSAGE?
  6. WHAT VERSION DOES THIS MESSAGE EVEN RELATE TO??
  7. HOW DO YOU BACK IT UP 🤯
