@jerry I am hoping to do exactly that.. hopefully in next 12-18 months. we snagged a 9 acre lot that was previously part of a larger farm. it backs on to a narrow inlet with one of the most beautiful beaches in the area just across the inlet. so combined farming + beach bum career isn't too far from the realm of posibilities. atleast I hope so :)
I am going to start wearing one of those belts like Blaise Pascal did so any time I have a non-Infosec thought, I can hit the belt and stab myself to get back on track
@jerry I would do that Jerry, except I know I will just end up looking like swiss cheese with all those stab wounds and non-infosec thoughts won't stop still 😆
Today's woodworking wisdom...
If you want to have successful glue up, put on some catchy tunes, singalong & most importantly don't forget to squint while sticking your tongue out as you tighten the clamps. 4 doors and 2 drawers fronts done. Now just 2 more doors and one display panel left. But that's for tomorrow.
And yes, you never have enough clamps!!
My wife and I are talking about downsizing our house. Our kids are grown and I need something before it’s time for the old folks home - but I’ve concluded the new house has to have an atrium for my orchids. I’m also liking the idea of building a house out of shipping containers but my wife is less than enthusiastic about the idea
@jerry We worked with an architect to lay down our requirements and they helped us by designing a property that has home designed for aging in place & caters for both my hobby ( WWing ) and my wife's hobby ( gardening ). as for your orchids, have you thought of leanto greenhouse? https://www.bcgreenhouses.com/greenhouses/cross-country/home-attached-greenhouses/
We are seriously looking at their meridian series. can't use their leanto ones because south side of home is going to be walkout.
So the craziest thing happened today. I went out to lunch because I was not having the happy work day and needed to get away from the house. After lunch, I went to the grocery store next to the restaurant. I don’t know how it happened but when I woke up, I was in my car with Mike’s harder lemonade and some orchids. At least that is the story I’m telling.
@jerry it happens more often than you think Jerry. In my case, I have woken up in my car clutching a vintage handtool or two and no recollection of how that happened.
