Thank you. :) I think learning about different opinions and being able to matuely express them are important, so I appreciate it when others appreciate it too.
That’s very true. There are slight differences when it comes to biological matters though. For example, or lack of ability to cure cancer. We’ve made lots of advancements, don’t get me wrong, but a doctor in the field that I know once explained to me that there’s a lot of thought in the medical field that cancer is just nature’s way or ensuring death.
We have a 17 year old in the US that has undergone full sex-reassignment, and 13 who have had their breasts removed. What about that is “non-exsisting”?
You follow the path of: “its not happening, and even if it is, it’s not that bad” perfectly, thank you.
You’ve accused me of saying a lot of things here that I didn’t say at all. I made no mention of how many kids have this surgery, nor how many parents are lining up to have it done for their children.
Stating outright that it’s not happening is ignorant, especially since we have one full on sex change at 17 in the US, and as young as 13 with breast removal in the US.
17 is the youngest is the US so far, but other counties it’s 16. That’s not to say there isn’t a push for younger, but we’ll have to see if we get to that point or not.
Edit: 13 is the youngest for breast removal in the US, which is considered a sexual organ.
It is a thing, the youngest to have it done is 17.
Accusing people concerned with the idea of removing a child’s genitals to some sort of pedophilic thought is so out-of-this-world crazy. Would you say that to people who are against female circumcision? Those are also “thoughts about children’s genitals”. The very idea that you’d remove them at all is “thoughts about children’s genitals”.
Being concerned about removing future, of-age sexual pleasure and function from a child is not pedophilic in any way.
I don’t know, though I wouldn’t be shocked that some people were talked into it at the time. Trust is easily manipulated, especially if the person convincing is also convinced its the right thing to do.
To be able to do so effortlessly -like, actually change functioning biological sexual organs from one to the other- is a super, super long way off, if it ever becomes possible. It would be nice to be able to do that, though.
I’m sure she did understand, she probably didn’t think she’d survive, though, so any consequences of that possibility probably didn’t occur to her at all.
