3 years, huh. well, that’s quite a bit. a lot happened. my best advice would be to go to VitaDB and look around, but from what I can think of: hacking got a lot easier, now there is an official VitaDB store app, people can port Ren’Py visual novels now, people can port Godot 3.5 games now I think, people can actually port Android games but it’s really hard as far as I know, Android GTA: SA got ported with visual enhancements, the Sonic CD, Sonic Mania and Space Cadet Pinball decompilation, Dreamcast emulation (not the best), Nintendo 64 emulation (pretty good) and also YoYoLoader - app that lets you play Android games made in GameMaker Studio 1/2 and even PC if you’re in luck
I mean, I'm yet to post about it in the original /r/vitahacks or New Communities... I've been trying to make this look the best I can first and I've honestly got surprised 10 people just found this on their own
also for people from other instances - check the community on lemmy.world from time to time in case something might’ve not federated (at the time it only seems to work if I look up the post manually at different kbin instances and lemmy ones don’t see this place at all for some reason currently, 0 idea why) question thread rule is not enforced because it’s just the beginning and some people might not see it
I think the fact you use it more than you would expect is expectable with the fact it’s new to you and the blackout is still going for half of the subreddits, looking at the stream - that’s captivating. Also Reddit already has estabilished communities while here is the Wild West, revolution is… revolving. We’re here for it. But never think you’re missing out, whether you’ll spend here 5 minutes or hours. In the end does it really matter you know what Reddit CEO said this morning? And this platform is decentralised and open source, whatever wouldn’t happen there will always be an instance. If you feel too distracted by this place (don’t blame you, I’ve just joined and I’m like wow) and you feel that it will be better for you, feel free to look at Reddit …but maybe actually take a break from both. while exciting, social media can be a bit stressful and if you feel like you could be doing something productive, dedicate your time to that. if you just want to waste your time a bit, maybe try sketching or a little code - it feels good to create something
