@amyfou @linguistics not the most telegenic guitar tech. Medical device vibes. I do remember the strange sound of "talking steel" from clear channel radio in the 60s.

Couldn't find any map on languages using contrastive secondary articulations so I made one in R with data from Phoible (Moran, Steven & McCloy, Daniel, 2019; http://phoible.org)
It includes some dialects (for ex. moroccan arabic, egyptian arabic etc.) and in total 507 languages are plotted.
