Just started this book and I guess the writer is sorta obsessed with sexuality. So far it's being quite interesting. Have you read it? Any thoughts? Some years ago I watched a film about the writer where he starred as himself (and I got the idea he was a complete weirdo) #houellebecq @bookstodon#books#llibres#bookstodon
@GelatDeTramussos@bookstodon I haven't read Atomised/The Elementary Particles but I've read the English translations of Submission and Serotonin. I think Houellebecq is a good writer, but a very unsettling one. Unlike satirists of authoritarianism like Orwell or Atwood, he finds faults in liberalism, creating characters who are nihilistic, numbed by drugs/alcohol, obsessed with youth, materialistic/transactional, perverse, and disconnected.
