I spent all of Monday and Tuesday of this week at a Brandon Sanderson Book Convention here in Salt Lake City called Dragonsteel. I’ve read every Sanderson book (& live 4 blocks away), so I had to go. 😂

It was a fun, nerdy con that reminded me of some of the first anime conventions I went to in the 90s.

I finished and The Nightmare Painter by . I loved it! One of my favorite books. I feel like the romance felt a bit abrupt but it won me over in the end. The world building, as always, was a delight. And the illustrations were jaw-droppingly gorgeous. This would make a decent entry point for new readers, though they will miss the many cosmere connections. What did you think? (Spoiler for cover)
