Tomorrow (Tuesday, September 19) at 4 p.m. ET, I'll be doing a webcast for @aceseditors called "An Editor's Guide to Assessing and Addressing Problematic Content." It's free for ACES members and $30 for nonmembers.
Even if you can't attend live, you'll get the recording and slide deck if you register.
Copyeditors: Writer, please list every single member of this person's family so I know whether to put commas around the family member's name when they're referenced by their relationship to said person.
It’s day 1 of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) 2023 hybrid conference in Glasgow and online. I’ll be there (on and off) virtually so hope to say hello. Follow the #CIEP2023 hashtag here or on your chosen platform of the many. Laters, #edibuddies!
I updated my blog post "Efficiency Tools for Editing" to include two Word tricks I love: using New Window to see editing markup in one window and no markup in another simultaneously, and creating a custom editing tab in the Word ribbon! (Yes, this exclamation mark is warranted.)
Are we not counting down to the conference of the year?! Where is everyone? I'm still sad about not going in person, but super excited to meet virtually! Wave if you're attending #ciep2023 too. 👋🏾
Hot off the press! Countdown to #ciep2023 - who's excited?! If you're attending the annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) from 9 to 11 September, virtually or in person, or want to but can't, follow the new feed 'CIEP 2023 Conference' on Bluesky.* And use the conference hashtag (above) to join the convo.
Today I got to debut a new presentation called "An Editor's Guide for Assessing and Addressing Problematic Content" at #EFACON2023. Thanks to everyone who attended!
