An interesting old booklet we came across in the National Library in #Belgrade

Fairly simple and straightfoward rules from 1914 on how POWs were to be treated.

Issued after the start of #WWI and #Serbian victories in that year, which resulted in several tens of thousands of Austro-Hungarian soldiers being taken prisoner. Some 30 000 of them would be escorted with the Serbian army through #Albania in 1915. and handed over to Italians on the coast.

Another thing I noticed in #Albania:

Albans seem to be crazy about German cars (esp Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen), Busses (I've found myself in German busses only!) and obviously... Washing Machines? 😮

Okay telecom guys from #albania - no offense, but how do you keep track of this? Looks like a maintenance nightmare 😂

Still: Connecting a new house to the fiber network (yes, there is some fiber optics up there!) is probably just a matter of hours. Looking at you Germany! 👀

In my vacation I've learned how to integrate in Albanian traffic as a pedestrian: Simply by not giving a fu** 👌😅. Got praised by Albans for that 🤣
