“simple and maintainable” software doesn’t exist. Every software is complex, every software is maintainable. If you want to build sustainable software you need to look these two facts squarely in the eye, pull up your sleeves and fully embrace the beauty of complex legacy codebases.

I love Legacy Code, i love understanding the myriad of mostly decent decisions that lead to what other people say needs to be burned down.
