ICYMI, the American Political Science Association #apsa is trying to move #apsa2023 out of the LA Marriott to avoid crossing a picket line. The union has plainly asked them to go online or postpone rather than just moving panels out of the Marriott (people will still stay in rooms there), but certain famous political scientists can’t bring themselves to not go in person, which brings us to the suggestion of…sleeping bags in a meeting room 🙃 @academicchatter#politicalscience#academia

💡 We find that women have lower levels of political ambition across all levels, but that the gender gap is significantly smaller at the local level compared with the European (but not the national) level
