My #HauntedHouseMKAL cowl has been off the blocking mats a while but it actually got worn this weekend!
I think if I did it again I'd get more orange yarn and put the pumpkins out where they're more visible! I'm still not sold on cowls, but it was really fun to have something seasonal to wear while my kid went out to the city's Halloween weekend events. 🎃
Haunted House MKAL cowl is off the needles and will get blocked tonight!
I went off script again for the bindoff, switching to a contast colour and using the bobbles from an earlier clue to make something that I liked better.

Yarn: Kit from Miss Babs yarn, with some leftover white subbed in to improve contrast.
I'm a bit grumpy about the kit not working out perfectly (I mean, removing the risk of poor yarn choices is supposed to be the point of getting a kit for an mkal!) but I was able to fix it with leftovers from a previous project so that was nice. I don't actually like cowls and I'm not sure it's going to get cold enough to wear it anywhere interesting but I can look cute while walking the dog in the backyard in the morning I guess and then be unseasonable later. I enjoyed the process and the mystery and I'm awfully pleased about learning those bobbles, so it was a fun overall experience.
Beautiful day for the park! I actually got too hot and had to hide on a rock with my feet in the wet sand. ☀️⛱️
In the original colour choices this section was supposed to have a blue background, but how could I resist swapping to that lovely variegated green once I saw a poison-y mystery motif?

I decided I'd be happier with this if I ripped back three clues to use a brighter, more contrasty white for the ghosts instead of the barely-visible grey.
Hatch: "you can't even knit; quit taking pictures and throw my toy!"
I slept on my shoulder/arm funny and using a computer is excruciatingly painful after a few minutes. I'm behind on my #HauntedHouseMKAL but I'm afraid to try knitting so I'm just taking a picture and then putting it back in the bag.

I missed the second day of #bsidespdx because of a massive headache but here's some knitting from Friday.
(My body decided after a poorly timed kid nightmare that it was a precious hothouse orchid that needed to sleep an extra 12 hours only waking to take more painkillers as they wore off. So I was barely able to sit up until 5pm, but I'm ok if a bit aura-y today.)
