It’s all cowardice. Call out the criminal defendant. Call out the cowardice of your fellow republican members. Scream and yell and curse about the insanity of it. The danger of it. Seek law enforcement to protect you and your family (Congress must have pretty good security!) then scream and yell about needing to do that! Quietly voting to acquit out of fear when you know you should have convicted him is an absolute failure to do your duty to the Constitution. You’re simply enabling the fucking monsters.
